FAQ

What is Invalist?

Invalist is a weekly text message list that provides upcoming events catered to specific electronic music genres in specific areas.

What is the purpose of Invalist?

The purpose of Invalist is to give those involved in the scene knowledge of events that they may have not known about. It's also to give hosts/promoters an accessible method of promotion that targets an involved crowd via text message, leading to greater returns on reach.

What genres do you work with?

We are currently starting out with House Music and Drum n Bass/Deep Dubstep but we have plans to expand to other electronic music genres.

What areas do you work in?

We are currently starting out in Los Angeles county and Orange County for House and all of SoCal for DnB/DeepDub but we have plans to expand to other areas.

Why not just use social media?

Social media platforms, like Instagram or Facebook, can and has worked as a place for event info, but only if you know the right people and/or the right people know you. Plus, these platforms are specially designed to keep you hooked to your screen to show you as many advertisements as possible. With Invalist, hosts/promoters just give us information about the event and subscribers sign up once. We handle the rest. Subscribers get texted at one time each week, making things far less invasive.

But this ticket site also has a list.

Sure, but that's one ticket site and isn't truly catered like Invalist. With Invalist, we include a link with each event, this may either be a multi-link site that includes a ticket link, or a ticket link to basically any ticket site.

Does it cost anything?

Invalist is completely free for subscribers and is solely funded by hosts/promoters come June 2025. Pricing, refund policy and secure payment methods for hosts/promoters can easily be requested through the contact methods listed at the

Will my data be sold?

Absolutely not!!! Invalist is solely funded by event hosts/promoters and we take privacy very seriously. The only piece of information we get from our subscribers is their phone number, and we have no desire to sell those. However, we must inform you that our messaging is handled through Clicksend. You can view their Privacy Policy

Will I get bombarded?

Not at all. Invalist only messages you once per week on each list that you sign up on. the amount of messages you receive will be dependent on the amount of events on list for the week. one message can inform you of up to twelve events and we'll send additional messages only to tell you about the rest.

Sounds great! Sign me up!

We dig the enthusiasm. However, in order to keep cost of entry low for hosts/promoters and ensure that we capture a dedicated community, we only give out the numbers at the type of events that are eligible for our lists. If you go to an event and see someone with a shirt printed with a phone number in neon yellow and a join code, that's most likely the Textmaster. We also will be hosting booths as well.
